Domaine St-Jacques is blessed with a unique microclimate with precious extra weeks of warmth each year. Our vineyard in the Montérégie enjoys terroir similar to Burgundy, France or New Zealand and yields plump grapes full of sugar—the start to every exceptional wine.
Respect the vine and it will reward you. Over the years, we’ve perfected our methods to enhance the blossoming of the first vines, which yield the most generous juice. We go to great lengths to protect the wines from the cold so they’ll give us their best when the warm weather returns.
The red : Maréchal Foch, and the whites : Vidal. Grounded in our rich heritage and our exacting work, we produce many varietals on over 15 hectares of vineyards, such as: Lucy Kuhlmann, Pinot Noir, Gamay, Seyval, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer.
If the vine creates the fruit, then assemblage makes the wine. Our expertise and creativity shine through in this final step—that’s when the juice is balanced to reveal the character of our various cuvees while respecting the personality of each vintage.
